I have a deep-rooted, multi-generational, connection to early childhood education. A passion that started while I was a young girl helping with my moms’ in-house daycare and later preschool. Some of my warmest memories are school year afternoons and summer camp days spent at her preschool off Topanga Canyon. Watching my mom work and teach with her infinite grace and full-heartedness, I began to understand and appreciate the role cornerstone preschool’s play in a community.
Then as I was preparing to become a mother myself, I felt the need to start a preschool of my own and pass on all the beautiful lessons my mom taught me. I’m a firm believer that we attract what we desire and in May of 2008, I found myself the owner of Great Beginnings Preschool. My first child, Sebastian, was born two and a half months later.
I am so grateful for the hundreds of families who chose, and continue to choose, Great Beginnings to journey with them during their children’s most pivotal first few years; a time for exploration, experimentation, and play. I’m sure I learn from your children as much as I teach them.

For as long as I can remember I imagined myself teaching preschool-aged children. Their natural love of learning and curiosity has always inspired me as a teacher. Children change so greatly during their preschool age and I find it fascinating to see what they’re interested in, how they interact with each other and the world around them, and how they change and grow. I am so lucky to be able to facilitate their growth and development both on a day to day basis and during their preschool experience as a whole. After supporting hundreds of children and families over the past three decades I am as eager to teach and learn from the children in our community as I was when I first started all those years ago.

We are committed to hiring and nurturing the best early development teachers. Classes are grouped according to age and are guided by teachers who care about your child. Teachers are welcoming and warm allowing children to relax into their environment, build friendships and enjoy all that Great Beginnings has to offer.
All teachers have completed the necessary Early Child Education (ECE) courses and many of our staff hold bachelors degrees or are pursuing higher education.
